The most important resources we can provide for our children are the best teachers and staff. By paying them well, listening to their needs as the front-line contacts with our students, and striving for the best working conditions possible for them, we can offer our students the best education.
On issues ranging from pandemic management to mental health awareness to LGBTQ+ acceptance, experts should be consulted and trusted for the most up-to-date and accurate advice.
Zip code should not determine the quality of education a child receives in our city. Every child in Chesapeake should have the the tools they need to succeed, be it highly-qualified teachers, facilities, or resources.
Government is not meant to be run in the shadows. All official activity by members of the School Board should be easily available for public scrutiny and participation.
With most of the School Board seats up for election this year, we have an opportunity to fill those seats with engaged, experienced, and qualified candidates. Don't forget to vote!
